My mother was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2010. This is a blog about coming to terms with her absent mind.

In the press!

I did a little email interview for Tesco Online Magazine and it has appeared here:

Anything to raise the profile of the role of carer is a good thing in my book.

My thanks to Liz Jarvis for asking me.

  1. Brilliant work Bee. Anything that raises awareness can only be good.

  2. Brilliant but brief read, Bee. How long did it take before your Mum was diagnosed with dementia? It took about six months or so for my Grandma to be officially diagnosed with her dementia. I'm just curious.

  3. Hi Adele - she should've seen the specialist in September last year but Dad booked a holiday so it was deferred until this January. She then had to have a scan and was finally given the dx in Feb. I think Dad asked the GP for the referral in June or thereabouts x

  4. Fantastic Bee....More awareness around being a carer and the illness is are truely wonderful.xx
